The Antigo Optimist Club presented a donation to the Antigo High School SkillsUSA Club.
SkillsUSA is a club that empowers its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. Club members participate in competitions across the state where students compete in a variety of events such as job interview, team engineering, automotive technology, CPR and welding. The Optimists are proud to support this youth club that is teaching students life-long skills and personal development! Sam Swartz and exchange student Isadora Prado (honorary) are shown receiving there cords for graduation. Sam has been a part of Junior Optimist Club for 4 years! In order to receive cords you must have so many volunteer hours, attend meetings, luncheons and participate in activities, lead a meeting, lead an activity, and participate in fundraisers.
Congrats ladies, thank you for all that you do for Junior Optimist Club and good luck next year! Optimist Club Board Member, Roger Fuller, presented 3 bikes donated by the Antigo Optimist Club for the upcoming Community Health Walk sponsored by the Langlade County Health Department. Accepting the bikes are Karen Marten & Elizabeth Rustic from the Health Dept.
